oh! no worry ^^ I will try to explain. you use Photoshop right? well, in this program select "BRUSH TOOL" then on the left on the top you can see the different options of "BRUSH TOOL", there are ---> "BRUSH" "MODE" "OPACITY" AND "FLOW". ok, then choose "MODE" open the different options and select "COLOR DODGE" this is an option that if you paint over and over in the same place, the color will be more an more shiny. practice with this option with different colors, you will do it like me, just need a little practice
Let me say that I think it's nice to have both versions - because both are good and it's also nice to be able to compare the one against the other. But I also think this second version is the sexier of the two. And the reason for that is....the way you've cropped in on the close-ups (you clearly saw those smaller compositions within the overall composition) and then placed them onto the original composition. I think you've done that really well. It actually looks quite filmic - or cinematic - that way. and also the choices you've made for the close-up crops are good. One masks the eyes (suggesting an identity to be hidden?). One emphasises the eyes (seductive?) and one emphasises the abdomen (the sexual element?). As I said, you've done that really well, and the overall effect is to emphasise the seductiveness, sexiness and temptation represented (to some extent) by the picture. Well done. I'm curious about the bandage around his arm (that looks a bit worrying) and about the the yellow bead (?) in his hair, and what those things might represent. Also the tattoo.
I think the composition has been very well balanced and controlled by yourself. It both conceals and reveals enough. I like the sort of urban alleyway (?) setting - at night and in the rain. That just sort of emphasises the illicitness of the situation - yeh? I also think that in the upper half of his body there is a suggestion (either conscious or unconscious on your part) of the female.
It would be interesting to know what you think of the picture and what it expresses/symbolizes or represents.
I love your style - you know that - and it's a real pleasure to see it deployed on a picture like this....^^
OMG!! OH MY... this is the best comment that Anyone give me!! OMG I no have words THANKYOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok I will try to answer all your questions ^^ First I must say that you almost got right with the guy of the pic. Your ideas are similar than me ^^ Yeap he's hidding an identity. He escaped from an important organitation that's coz he have the tattoo "Number V" emphasising the eyes and the abdomen I wanna suggest that he is like a "sex symbol" or something like that.
About the bandage, at the begining it covered all his hand. He had an accident during a mision for the Organitation then, the doctors from that Organitation did something to him (that is the main reason that he is running away) also there'e someone... someone that he must meet again (the one that for his/her fault he had that accident... he doesn't remember if is she or he, but when he meet him/her again he will know...he think...he need to find him/her)
The yellow bead is just an accessory XD nothing important ^^
The other version is when he's running way. is like "I'm not the puppet of anyone, try it if you can!"
well, I think I've answered almost all. anyways when I drew this character I didn't think too much on his life, just simple things to make his design on my mind XD summary, "a sexy guy with a bad and dark past and hidding lot of secrets"
You are very welcome. I enjoyed the picture, Athena. Think some more about the way you use posture and clothing in pictures with an erotic theme. I learnt from Freud that sexual curiosity is natural to human beings. So clothing becomes important because it can be used to both mask and suggest the presence of the object of the curiosity. Likewise posture and expression. That mixture of masking, revealing and suggesting - which your picture has - is really very potent. You can play around with ideas like that....but don't get yourself banned...^^
